Day #269 What Are They Looking At?

I can’t figure out these bees. Sometimes they do the darndest things, and leave me wondering at my wealth of ignorance.
I spotted this lump of bees on the decking right below the entrance to the yellow hive. They were there, buzzing mightily, for about an hour. And then they were gone, back to doing whatever bees do.

I got as close as I dared. If I get too close, their buzz volume goes up by about 200%. I couldn’t see anything unusual—other than this congregation who seemed to be there for no reason whatsoever.

But they were mighty busy about it.

Wish I spoke BEEnglish, so I could ask them what’s up…

BEEattitude for Day # 269:
Blessed are those who speak more than one language, for they shall see the world from a richer perspective.
